Bambu's tool only recommends Bambu materials. Polymaker's only recommends Polymaker. We built a neutral matrix that cites a source for every cell.
CROSS_VENDOR_DATA_LAYER
v2026.1_STABLEMost printer compatibility tools online are vendor-locked. Bambu's filament guide will not recommend Polymaker. Polymaker's selection tool will not mention competitor materials. The result: nobody publishes a neutral cross-printer matrix.
We built one. 130 cells, every cell cites a source. Manufacturer specs (max nozzle temperature, enclosure presence, hardened nozzle availability) provide the hard constraints. The Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer official profile databases confirm the soft ones. Where the auto-generated cell needs nuance, our 90-day testing notes from existing reviews provide the override — like the proprietary K1C Unicorn nozzle handling PLA-CF day one, or the Anycubic Kobra S1's ACE Pro dryer changing the nylon story.
When we are not certain about a cell, the matrix says so. "Caveat" means it works with a known compromise — buy a hardened nozzle, build a DIY enclosure, heat-soak the bed. "Unsupported" means a hard physical or warranty constraint. We never guess "supported" without a source.
